Gunadarma
University is a college that was officially established through S.K Dirjen
DIKTI on April,3rd,1996. After going through a long way, Gunadarma University can
be one of the leading private information and communication technology based in
Indonesia. One of the departments that is in great demand by the public is the Information System which is now at the Faculty of Computer Information
Technology (FIKTI). According with
general policy of UG Good University Governance, they state that “Biro Administrasi Perecanaan System Informasi (BAPSI)” is responsible of Information System’s management, which is a structural
unit that contributes in planning, development, maintenance of Information Technology facilities at Gunadarma University.
Lot of
facilities are given for Information System, one is called ICT (Information and
Communication Technology). ICT is a facility that make it easier for the students to
be active and learn through technology called the UG E-learning Center. UG
E-learning Center is also UG’s facility that used for students through technology, for example CD Moduls,Virtual Class, E-book, etc.
CD Moduls
Learning materials in the form of
interactive CDs are equipped with visually communicative, so the students
could understand the lessons. There are 6 materials, including:
1. System Performance analysis
2. Computer Architecture
3. Computer Network
4. Electromagnetic field
5. Robotic
6. TSI Banking
Virtual
Class
Virtual Class (V-Class) is a
facility that provided by Gunadarma University for students. When lecturers are
unable to attend in a certain days, lecturers could give the lessons and
practices for students through a V-class website. This way, student doesn’t need to attend the class but still can access learning anywhere.
UG Staffsite
UG Staffsite is a digital locker for
lecturers of Gunadarma University. Which is an official page for information
and communication media that used as a resource and source of knowledge. UG
Staffsite can be access by students, so the students can learn and understand the lessons before the class begins.
UG Staffsite also provides a
services like lecturers personal biodata, educational background, experience in
the field of teaching, additional information and discussion forums on the
pages. So the communication process between lecturers and students can be
facilitated.

Studentsite
UG Studentsite provide information on class schedules and exams, information and assignments from the lecturer, and grades of each semester to support the learning process.

Integrated Lab
UG Integrated Lab known as I-lab is a computer laboratory
with special concept developed by Gunadarma University. It is a practice that must be done by the students without any help from the practicum assistants, so the students can improve their skill.
UG HotZone
UG HotZone is a facility that is most liked by students,. UG
HotZone was developed to create a conducive environment. Every corner of
Gunadarma has been given a wifi hotspot or known as UG HotZone. This is to
facilitate Gunadarma University students to access the internet in all
locations of Gunadarma easily and quickly, so the students don’t need to be
afraid if they don’t have internet access.
UG Community
UG Community is a service for students,lecturers,staff, alumni
and observers of Gunadarma University who want to share,care to create a forum,
write blogs and display creations such as photos, videos, music to communicate with fellow members.
Those are the facilities that Gunadarma University provide for the student to learn, be active and be creative to create something positive and innovative. The facilities made to help the students when they graduate to become students who have good personality,responsibility and can be useful to the community
